Steelers’ George Pickens raises eyebrows over postgame handshake with Chiefs star

George Pickens, Pittsburgh wide receiver The Steelers raised some eyebrows Wednesday. When he congratulated Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce after their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mahomes and Kelce join Netflix’s Stacey Dales to talk about the team’s 29-10 victory.

Mahomes passed for 320 yards and three touchdowns, while Kelce caught eight passes for 84 yards and a touchdown and scored 1,000 career receptions during the game.

Meanwhile, the two young players were talking. Pickens interrupted the interview to express his respect.

The move sparked debate among fans. Some praised Pickens for his good sportsmanship. While some are cynical and think it’s a sign from a wide receiver to the Star Chiefs that will influence future trades.

The No. 1 seed Chiefs have a first-round bye in the playoffs with a win over the Steelers.

Pickens caught three of his seven targets for 50 yards.

The centre-forward has been a shock all season. He got into an altercation with a Cleveland Browns player on the final play of a game in last month’s matchup. He was then flagged for two unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in a win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin was asked about Pickens’ antics earlier this month.

“I will not give any details. giving you information about what’s going on behind the scenes in terms of his growth and development,” Tomlin said. “That’s my style. And I’m going to make it really consistent. Being transparent with you guys doesn’t always help or speed up the growth process. And that is my goal. There is no need to feed the beast.”
