Dog lost in Tennessee reunited with family after he was injured in the valley on Wednesday.
Tennessee Department of Transportation crews were removing a tree from the 2400 block of State Route 48 in Dixon when they “heard noises coming from a nearby creek,” the agency said on Facebook.
When they went to investigate the noise Workers found an injured dog stuck in a ravine. This led them to alert a nearby Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper. which is working in the traffic zone for help

TDOT crews, troopers, Dickson Electric utility workers and citizens joined together to help the pup.
They built a makeshift gurney to carry him safely out of the canyon. He was taken to the Humane Society of Dickson County (HSDC) to receive treatment for his injuries.

TDOT officials returned to the shelter several hours later to donate a pallet of dog food, according to HSDC.
“We are informed that the dog is receiving treatment. We hope for a speedy recovery,” TDOT said on Facebook. “We appreciate those employees who were willing and able to accept our assistance.”
Tennessee Highway Patrol officers posted video of the dog’s rescue on Facebook Wednesday, naming him “Trooper” and asking for help finding his family.
