Lemon was fired by CNN in 2023 after several controversies and the struggles of his newly launched AM show “CNN This Morning.”
The left-wing host was pushed out of primetime to become part of a three-man hosting team on CEO Chris Licht’s revamped morning show, but the show never really stood out.
Lemon memorably angered network colleagues in 2023 when he suggested Nikki Haley, then 51, was no longer “in her prime.” At the time, Haley was talking about President Biden’s age concerns who was forced out of the race a year later by members of his own party.
Lemon lasted another two months before Licht dumped him. Licht himself showed up at the door in June of that year.

“You were co-opted because you were in a f—ing cult and you didn’t even know it because you had a stupid MAGA brain and you didn’t understand,” he said. “How stupid and stupid you are.”
He stood by his comments on his YouTube show on Tuesday, addressing his critics. “Nasty”
“I’m not talking about every Trump supporter,” Lemon said. “I’m talking to people with MAGA brains who will say and do anything to excuse any behavior Donald Trump does. or any bad behavior that the MAGA movement did.”
He continued, “Yes, I stand by my statement! And if you don’t like what I have to say, too bad, I don’t care!”
Lemon also mentioned “The hypocrisy” of Trump supporters attacking him with his language while defending their “cult leader”
“You are really busy. You have expectations of me as a freelance journalist. Former cable news host More than you’d expect from someone sitting in the Oval Office. Because his mouth is worse than mine,” Lemon said.
