The Cowboys scored 24 points in the 4th quarter, helping them narrowly defeat the Commissioners in a bizarre game.

The Dallas Cowboys defeated the Washington Commanders 34-26 in NFC East Week 12 action on Sunday. And that’s probably the easiest way to describe what happens in the game.

The score was 3-3 at halftime and Dallas led 10-9 with 4:40 left in the third quarter when Cooper Rush found Jalen Tolbert for a 6-yard touchdown. Provides actual scores for both teams.

Then the fourth quarter happened.

The Cowboys took a 20-9 lead over the Commanders after Rush found tight end Luke Schoonmaker for a 22-yard touchdown. It appeared to be enough for the Cowboys to close out the game with only 5:16 remaining.

Jayden Daniels sparks roaring comeback He found Zach Ertz for a 4-yard touchdown pass to cut the deficit to three.

Dallas responded with a special teams play. Austin Seibert kicked the ball downfield. Returner Gavinte Turpin fumbled the ball at first, picked it up, spun and was gone. He galloped. Went 99 yards for a score and the Cowboys took a 10-point lead.

The Commissioners drove down the field in six plays to set up Seibert for a 51-yard field goal. Dallas went three-and-out on its next possession. But made inexplicable mistakes on defense.

Daniels meets Terry McLaurin, wide receiver and the veteran found the surrounding area The Cowboys defender then put the ball into the end zone. One play, 86 yards out, Washington was able to tie the game, but Seibert missed a point-back attempt. The Commander was down 27-26.

Seibert attempted an onside kick to win the ball back. It gave the commander one last drive. It would be an even bigger disaster if Daniels found the same magic he did with the Chicago Bears.
