A slam rang out at the home of north Georgia state Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., leaving a woman dead after a car accident involving local police.
Green took to social media on Monday to report that she had been the target of a bomb threat directed at her home. Member of the House of Representatives said The assistant chief of the Rome Police Department received an email threat. As a result, a bomb squad was sent to her home.
Green said this isn’t the first time she’s been slapped after being elected to Congress. Noting that she was right “Slapped at least nine times.”
Swatting involves alerting 911 of a false threat to a specific location or person. This will trigger a police response. and may redirect resources from crimes or real threats.

Green said the emails were traced back to a Russian IP address and that her office would work with local and federal law enforcement, including the FBI, to bring perpetrators to justice.
Rome police reported that during an attempt to respond to Green’s home A serious traffic incident occurred with one of their officers.
“On Monday, December 9, an officer of the Rome Police Department traveled by private car to take over the bomb squad. This officer was involved in a traffic accident on Redmond Road near Walmart that caused significant travel delays. Around the tracks of the Norfolk Southern Railway.”

Green said she was “devastated” by the fatal accident. which she said took the life of a woman and injured a police officer.
“Now I feel sorry. I have just been informed that an innocent woman died today in a car accident involving members of the Rome police bomb squad. who was responding to a threat to my home,” she wrote.
“These violent political threats have serious consequences. It is undue stress on our law enforcement agencies to treat them seriously. Officers responded to protect my life. And now a woman has lost her life because of this despicable act,” Post said. “I pray with Tammy. Pickelsimer her family injured officer and all the police in Rome.”

Green was clearly exasperated throughout her update. It is alleged that the perpetrator was called upon to commit the murder.
“My stomach hurts, but I’m also angry. This should not have happened and I pray it will not happen again,” she said.
She thanked Rome PD for protecting the city and putting their lives at stake.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
