The Houston Texans claim wide receiver Diontae Johnson. was not granted waivers from the Baltimore Ravens on Monday after Tank Dell suffered a gruesome knee injury last weekend.

But Johnson came to Houston after his turmoil with the Ravens ended.
Baltimore acquired Johnson mid-season in a trade with Carolina. Panthers on Oct. 10, 29. The Ravens banned Johnson for one game after he refused to participate in December 1 game against the Philadelphia Phillies later. He is exempt from all team activities.

Johnson previously spent five years with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In his 2021 Pro Bowl season, he had 107 catches for 1,161 yards and eight touchdowns. Those numbers are career highs.
Head coach Demeco Ryans said Dell suffered a dislocated kneecap and torn ACL in Saturday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
