David Zanca, senior portfolio manager for Blanchard & Co. in Louisiana , an American investment company specializing in rare coins, told Fox News Digital that the coin is a one-ounce Canadian gold maple leaf.
“Canadian Maple Leaf gold coins are quite popular among investors as a way to purchase gold bars. A gold bar piece is a coin whose value is based primarily on its gold content,” Zanca said.

The coin is dated 1987 and has an inscription.
