Trump taps Richard Grenell is the Presidential Ambassador for Special Missions. Edward S. Walsh is the Irish Ambassador.


President-elect Trump Nominated a few key early allies to play a role in his second government, including Richard Grenell.

Grenell is the new president’s pick as presidential ambassador for special missions. It is a position that is likely to drive the administration’s policy in the world’s most contentious region.

“Rick will work in some of the hottest locations around the world. including Venezuela and North Korea,” Trump said in an announcement Saturday evening.

Grenell was Trump’s intelligence chief during the president’s first administration.

“In my first period Rick is the United States Ambassador to Germany. Acting Director of the National Intelligence Agency and Presidential Ambassador for the Kosovo-Serbia Dialogue,” Trump said. “Previously, he spent eight years on the United Nations Security Council. Working with North Korea and development in many other countries.”

Trump also announced Edward Sharp Walsh as U.S. ambassador. Regularly in Ireland as well

A new poll reveals what Americans think of Trump’s transition decision.

“Edward is the president of the Walsh Company. which is a very successful nationwide construction and real estate company. He was a great philanthropist in his local community. and previously served as chairman of the New Jersey School Development Agency,” Trump announced.

The selection is the latest in a string of nominations that the president-elect hopes the Senate will approve.
