4 great games we want to play

Back in 2015, I had come quite far in my career. The Witcher 3Only to find out that I was a capital-L-long. I don’t know what happened. I barely understand the universe. And that doesn’t refer to my sloppy knowledge of mechanics. So I started the game from scratch with the intention of slowly getting through it and giving it a go, it became one of my favorite games of the 2010s.

Now, as 2025 rolls around, I find myself in a similar situation with a GOTY-nominated RPG. Metaphor: ReFantazio– Whether it’s diving in while in a high state of mind or just that the game is really heavy—a little bit. too Heavy, in my opinion, for a fantasy political legend. I was too lost to understand what was going on. But I know this game has fascinated me since I decided to shelve it for the time being. Forbidden Western And I know I’ll have to revisit it.

So my goal this weekend is to start over! I’m very excited to begin unpacking the themes of Metaphor’s metaphors. I’m especially fascinated by the way the game plays with the fiction that serves as its central inspiration. It offers a way to see a better world. And I’m a sucker for anything with turn-based combat. This game also has beautiful visuals to look at. So if I’m still struggling to keep up with the story.
