A beauty salon owner died while trying to protect his business from shoplifters.

A Florida mother and business owner was reportedly killed while trying to stop a shoplifter from her beauty products store. Leaving behind two daughters and her husband just weeks before Christmas.

Ilson Miriam Kim, 64, tried to stop two thieves at her Beauty Max store in Jacksonville, Florida, on the evening of December 16, before the shoplifters crashed her car. she died

“Two people came into this business. One of them took several items and ran out of the store with them,” said Sergeant Steve Rudlaff of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. News 4 กจ. “A store employee followed this individual to a vehicle that was ready for this individual.”

At least three suspects were involved. Two of them entered the store and one drove away. Radlaff told the outlet. One suspect got into the vehicle with stolen items. as the third suspect walked away.

Kim was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car. But she died from her injuries.

Kim’s husband said the store had a repeat problem of shoplifting. But a nearby business owner said the victims had had enough this time. and decided to take action by chasing down the suspect. Follow JAX action news–

“She worked alongside her husband all his life. But BeautyMax is the first business she has independently owned,” her family told the outlet in part in a statement. “We don’t know exactly why she decided to confront the shoplifter. But this store has experienced theft in the past.”

Her family added that some people even “dared” to steal items from the store in the days after Kim’s death.
