According to an online survey of more than 2,000 Americans conducted by The Harris Poll on behalf of Instacart in September 2024, turkey, mashed potatoes and stuffing are Americans’ favorite Thanksgiving foods.

As for what Americans loaded into their carts in preparation for Turkey Day, Instacart compared the share of merchandise purchased for each category over a seven-day period from Nov. 1, Nov. 17, 2023, to Nov. September 23, 2023 is the share of goods purchased for the rest of the year. and determine the category with the highest relative difference.
