in a video shared on social media Bolton appear to be closing in on the fans. As he took off his game-worn gloves with the intention of giving them to a young Chiefs fan, the young fan suddenly leaned out and fell over the barrier.
Wharton reacted quickly and ran and appeared to try to catch the child.

Wharton appeared on “The Pat McAfee Show” to discuss the incident. He said he walked in and handed his gloves to fans. Shouting his name when he saw the child fall. He then quickly grabbed the boy around the back of his shirt to keep him from falling.
“I just had to push him up into the stands a little bit to make sure he didn’t hit (the ground) too hard.”
He said he hopes to take the little boy out to games in the future.”
