Elizabeth’s friend Taylor reveals the most lavish gift she gave Michael Jackson

Elizabeth Taylor was famous for receiving lavish gifts from her seven husbands. But the Hollywood icon does not hesitate to please her friends.

“In 1991, she married a man she met at the Betty Ford Center, which you shouldn’t do. But they fell in love,” Mendelson said of Taylor’s last husband, Larry Fortensky.

“They got married at Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch,” Mendelson recalls, “as a thank you. She gave him an elephant named Gypsy.”

“Of course she has people’s cars. But she gave that elephant to Michael Jackson at Neverland Ranch as a surprise,” Mendelson chuckles.

In return, Taylor received a titanium elephant bag.

When it comes to her family, Taylor likes to please them too. And if they inherit her sparkling eyes They will also receive a special collection from her.

“She has these amazing blue eyes that people say are purple,” Mendelson explains. “Her son and her brother Howard both had sparkling turquoise eyes. She always buys the best cashmere sweaters to match their eyes. And they have to be the softest cashmere sweaters. They must have a whole closet full of them. They have that color because of their eyes.”

“She isn’t afraid to put money in her pocket to give the perfect gift that can only come from her,” he said. “If someone loses a dog, She was the first person to get them a new pet, a dog, a cat, whatever animal they wanted. She will give them one.”

If anyone wants to impress a movie star then give her some gems. Mendelson said one of Taylor’s favorite pastimes was having him fetch boxes filled with diamonds. Come see her.

“She had a jewelry cabinet,” Mendelson recalls. “She was like a little girl appreciating her gift. And she has really beautiful work. Especially from the two great loves of her life – Mike Todd and Richard Burton.”

“She got a lot of sentimental aspects from (Burton),” Mendelson added about the man Taylor married twice.

“He would give me a ‘Tuesday I love you’ gift,” Taylor wrote, “a ‘Today is a beautiful day’ gift, a ‘Let’s go for a walk’ gift. I want to buy you something.’ Over the years, I always think of these as my ‘Tuesday I love you’ accessories and I never know when he’ll get the most special ring or something sweet and simple.”

It was Burton who bought her many of her beautiful gems. It included a 69-carat pear-shaped diamond that came to be known as the Burton-Taylor diamond. She later auctioned it off to donate to a hospital in Botswana.

Taylor would have one of the most important private jewelry collections in America. Vanity Fair Reportedly, it contains rare pearls, diamonds, rubies and emeralds. Many of Taylor’s prized works were auctioned off by Christie’s.

Taylor doesn’t discriminate when it comes to gems, Mendelson said.

“When I first started working for her, It was her 60th birthday,” Mendelson recalls. “I saw an earring that looked like something you wanted. They have amethyst and are sparkling. It’s not expensive at all, about a hundred dollars. She was very impressed that I bought her earrings because they looked like her style. She really admired them. It makes her feel very excited when she thinks about it.”

When Taylor won the title in 2000, she returned the favor.

“I remember I wanted this watch. which is called black watch And I think it’s really cool,” Mendelson said. “I didn’t ask her. But while she was looking at the jewelry She bought two pieces of jewelry and said she would give them to her son. We came back to LA. And we were just joking around. Then she turned around. And giving me the watch, she said, ‘This watch will always be for you.'”

“The point is, the Black Watchmen are the people who protect the queen,” Mendelson said. “She gave another watch to her dear friend, José, the hairdresser. She felt, ‘These are the people who take care of me. Just like the Black Watchmen watch over the Queen of England.'”
