A Florida woman has been arrested after allegedly attacking a teenager who was crossing the street in her truck. Covered her license plate and drove off.
Sarah Wright, 37, was arrested Thursday. and was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with injury and driving with a suspended license.
The accident happened shortly before 4:00 p.m. at the intersection of Gage Avenue and Noah Road in Deltona, Florida, according to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

The teen fell to the ground. This resulted in severe head lacerations. including arm injuries But he remained alert and conscious after the incident.
One witness reported that she was checking a nearby mailbox when she heard the crash. She told investigators the suspect, later identified as Wright, was arrested. got out of her truck after the accident. and examined the boy before she returned to her car. and covered her license plate with paper and tape.
But the witness still saw the first letters of her tag. A neighbor’s Ring camera also captured images of a truck fleeing the scene.

Victims and witnesses can provide details about the suspect.
Within minutes, officers were able to identify the suspect vehicle recorded on a nearby license plate camera.
Wright was found in Flagler County and taken into custody with assistance from the Florida Highway Patrol and the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office.

The teenage victim required staples and treatment for an arm injury. But he is expected to make a full recovery.
