How does share location work?

How to update software to iOS 18.2 or later
First, let’s update your software to iOS 18.2 or later:
- open Settings
- touch general
- choose Update software
- touch Update now
- enter your password and Agree with the conditions
- wait. Complete the installation.

Steps to share AirTag location
Now let’s take a look at how to share your AirTag’s location:
- open Find my app On your iPhone, iPad, or Mac
- touch continue at the bottom of the screen
- Tap on list Tab at the bottom of the screen
- choose air tag or list you want to share
- Scroll down and tap Share the location of the item
- touch continue to create a link
- Now you can Copy link or use Share link Options to send via AirDrop, Messages, email, or other apps.
- Click on up arrow to send as a message
- Notification that shared location will expire after that seven days

- Tap on list Tab at the bottom of the screen
- choose air tag or list where you want to stop sharing the item’s location
- Scroll down and tap Share the location of the item
- click Stop sharing an item’s location
- Confirm your decision by clicking continue
