Two-time NBA champion Isiah Thomas opens up about his personal health.
During a recent appearance by former NBA coach Mark Jackson.”Come talk 2 MePodcast Thomas reveals he has Bell’s palsy.
The condition caused his facial muscles to droop.
“I got a lot of love from people saying, ‘Isaiah is sick, what is he going through?’” he said, “I didn’t really tell anyone. But I have Bell’s palsy…that’s why you see me like this. I appreciate the prayers and love. That’s what’s happening with my mouth right now. I just want everyone to know that.”

Thomas is not the first or current NBA player to suffer from Bell’s palsy, according to Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid. The Seventy-Sixers said he was diagnosed with the condition before a playoff game against New York. Knicks in April
Embiid averaged 33 points during the series.

Thomas spent his entire NBA career with the Detroit Pistons, earning 12 All-Star appearances. He was named NBA Finals MVP in 1990.
