after a rapid advance by anti-government groups Led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, Syrian rebels announced today that they had taken control of Damascus. and President Bashar Al-Assad has fled the country. which ended decades of Baathist rule. After enduring years of civil war. Syrians took to the streets to celebrate the sudden fall of Assad. both in their own country and in the large refugee communities growing throughout the Middle East and Europe.
