“He asked me if I wanted to play and if I wanted to go, I said I wouldn’t be too interested in it on Sunday. When I fell asleep it was like an opportunity to plant my name. In 1984, Dickerson topped 100 rushing yards on 12 carries to break OJ Simpson’s 1973 record with Buffalo rushing for 2,003 yards in a single season. Dickerson needs 379 carries to set the record. Barkley, on the other hand, has 345 carries this season.

Barkley signed a three-year deal with the Eagles with $26 million guaranteed and $37.75 million overall, making him the highest-paid running back in franchise history.
