Our first look at what DC studio boss James Gunn has in store for what’s next. Superman The movie has finally arrived. And it didn’t disappoint at all. The first trailer gives us a glimpse at the essence of all the comic book characters, like Kent Farm, the Daily Planet, and Lois Lane, as well as elements that haven’t been treated in Hollywood before, like Krypto the Superdog.

The trailer has a lot going on despite being just an initial teaser. This is how it looks:
It begins with a flashback to Superman’s life as Clark Kent, as he bleeds out in the arctic snow. But Kryp is finally rescued. We see Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and Pruitt Taylor Vince as Jonathan Kent, as well as lots of slow-motion action and footage. A touching shot that transcends boundaries. Like a child raising a Superman flag in the middle of a local humanitarian crisis. and a vague crowd of Metropolis citizens booed and accosted Superman as he walked into the building.
Superman The year 2025 isn’t just about a superpowered alien adapting to life on his new planet. It’s also set to include appearances by Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, and Nathan Fillion as Green Lantern, who appears for a split second in the trailer with one of the stupidest wigs I’ve ever seen. I don’t know how writer and director Gunn expected to pack all of that into one film under three hours long. But we’re here now.
