Ika Swiatek, female tennis star The owner of five Grand Slam titles accepted a one-month ban after testing positive for banned substances. The International Tennis Integrity Authority (ITIA) made the announcement on Thursday.
Swiatek has been ranked number 1 as the number 1 drug in the world for the past two seasons. Trimetazidine drug was detected. , a heart disease drug known as TMZ, tested positive in out-of-competition testing in August.
ITIA accepted her explanation that the results were unintended. They said it was caused by contamination of over-the-counter drugs. which is melatonin which she uses for jet lag and sleep problems

The ITIA stated that Swiatek’s level of fault “was at the low end of the range with no significant fault or negligence”.
Swiatek was previously suspended from Sept. 12 to Oct., ranked No. 4, missing three tournaments in that span – the Korea Open, China Open and Wuhan Open – although she said at the time it was for personal reasons.

Swiatek only has eight days left on his punishment. This will be done while there is no competition.
So she will be cleared to return on Monday.
In addition to the suspension, Swiatek must also forfeit $158,944 in prize money from the Cincinnati Open, which she played after failing a test. She was ultimately defeated in the semi-finals.
In an Instagram video, Swiatek responded to the ITIA’s decision, calling it “Worst experience of my life”
“In the past two and a half months I have been rigorously prosecuted by ITIA, which confirms my innocence,” Swiatek said in the video. “Only one positive doping test in my career. This reveals incredibly low levels of banned substances that I have never heard of before. It put everything I had worked so hard for my whole life into question.
“Both my team and I have been dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety. Now everything has been carefully explained. And with a clean slate I can go back to what I love most.”
