The fall of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad marked a remarkably bad year for the Iranian regime.
The Islamic Republic has suffered major losses in Gaza, Lebanon and Syria, reducing the power of the so-called Resistance Axis. Its currency officially became the lowest value in the world. And when Israel destroyed its proxy forces, the United States elected a president that Iran despised so much that it spent years trying to assassinate him.
