Simply put, the server isn’t up and running yet! Simple explanation Born out of a problem you may not be aware of, Grinding Gear Games chose to take care of the house a little more before opening the floodgates. Because this slight delay should lead to smoother sailing for all of us once the game goes live.
We’re working on a last-minute database upgrade to help deal with the overwhelming number of Exiles in preparation for Path of Exile 2. We’re working to get this done as quickly as possible. But this may cause a slight delay in turning on the live server.

The developers are upgrading the database to “Trying to help deal with the overwhelming number” of players eager to dive in and start a power struggle.
So be patient as the team has not given an exact time for when we will be able to enter. But if you keep an eye on their social media. They will definitely keep us all informed.
