Jimmy Carter, former President of the United States who is remembered in the sports world after death

Former President Jimmy Carter was remembered in the sports world on Sunday. It was later announced that he had passed away at the age of 100.

The Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons were among those who recognized Carter in messages posted on social media.

“The Atlanta Braves are deeply saddened by the passing of President Jimmy Carter,” the Braves family said. “President Carter was a testament to America’s greatness. And Georgia was able to produce.

“He served both his country and his homeland with dignity all his life. Although the world knows him as an incredible humanitarian and peacemaker, But we know he is a big Braves fan and we will miss having him in the stands cheering on his Braves.”

“My deepest condolences go out to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.”

This beloved Braves fan was the first president to welcome a Super Bowl champion to the White House. It marked the start of a time-honored tradition that has endured through current President Biden’s administration. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Pirates visited in 1980 at the same time.

Falcons owner Arthur Blank remembered Carter as “an inspirational global humanitarian.”

“He lived a life of great civic responsibility. and it is the change he wants to see among others,” Blank said. “On behalf of my family and our business family, We send our sincere condolences to his loved ones.

“President Carter’s kindness and unity touched so many people. He was a man of deep faith. And do everything with principle and grace. Do the right thing for the right reason.”
