Two of those teams could end up playing San Jose State in this tournament. Utah State faces Boise State in the quarterfinals. The winner will face San Jose State. But it might end up losing the competition. Neither team has played San Jose State this season. It is likely that Fleming will be included in the team.
“The team looks forward to the start of Mountain West Conference tournament play on Friday,” San Jose State said in a statement Tuesday following the appeals court decision dismissing its appeal against the school. “The university maintains an steadfast commitment to the inclusion, safety and privacy of all students at San Jose State and ensuring they can compete in an open, fair and respectful environment.”
