How will the country change after Donald, though? Trump’s inauguration remains uncertain. But it is clear that he will go on to be one of the most powerful and courageous presidents of the United States. On Washington Week and the Atlantic OceanPanelists join Jeffrey Goldberg to discuss how Americans will respond to Trump’s changes.

Trump and allies plan to overhaul the federal government And the president-elect has nominated loyalists to key Cabinet positions to promote this agenda. On this issue, Trump has two main things in mind, Dan Balz explained last night: changing the way his administration works and reducing Spending at various federal agencies significantly “He has an eye on trying to radically change the administration … in a way that he never could in his first term,” Balz said. “He sees the administration as being more of a resistance than a part of the team.”

Meanwhile, Trump has announced plans to impose massive tariffs on major U.S. trading partners. This includes Canada and Mexico. But questions remain about how these taxes might affect foreign policy.
