“The intelligence and security services of the United Arab Emirates have discovered the body of Zvi Kogan, who has been missing since Thursday, November 21, 2024,” the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on X. “Israel’s mission in Abu Dhabi has been in contact with the family since the start of the event. and continue to provide assistance during this difficult time. His family in Israel also received an update.”
“The murder of Zvi Kogan, which is a fond memory. It is a despicable act of anti-Semitic terrorism. The State of Israel will use every means and will hold criminals responsible for his death to the fullest extent of the law,” the statement added.

Rabbi Zvi Kogan is an ambassador for the Chabad Lubavitch movement, a prominent and highly observant branch of Hasidic Judaism based in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn in New York City.
The 28-year-old was living in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates when he disappeared on Thursday. He is a citizen of both Moldova and Israel.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Kogan works as a realtor and “Passionate about volunteering and serving (his) community.”
